Kenya comprises of over 40 different tribes. Within these tribes there is a group called the Kalenjin (which means “I tell you”). The Kalenjin people can be found in an area within Kenya called the Great Rift Valley.

Our company name is based on the Kalenjin language. In the Kalenjin language the word “Belion” means Elephant. We at Belion tours chose this name because of how we welcome our clients-with big hearts- as BIG as an Elephant (Belion). Thus, we invite you all “Karibuni Rafiki (Welcome Friends)” to East Africa.

Let us take you to the Lions Kingdoms in Kenya’s National Parks to the Great Rift Valley, which is the home of the colorful Maasai and the eight Kalenjin tribes, and the oldest tribal society in the world of the Turkana’s, to Uganda to see the Gorillas or to Tanzania to see the great Serengeti.

While with Belion Tours and Safari’s you will get to see East Africa’s diverse and unique blend of scenery, wildlife, culture, and pre-historic findings. So when visiting East Africa be ready for sights and sounds that will keep you captivated.

So as you make your traveling plans remember that we would love to “tell you” all about the rich cultures and wildlife found in Kenya and East Africa as a whole.
